Reed Henkel joined the Chadron State football coaching staff prior to the 2026 season and will work with the Eagles' linebackers.
Originally from Arvada, Colorado, Henkel moves to coaching after a four-year playing career at linebacker for Chadron State from 2022-25. Henkel recorded 133 tackles, including 75 solo stops and 11 tackles for loss, while leading the Eagle roster with 74 tackles in 2024. Henkel started 25 consecutive games during his career from 2023-25.
Henkel earned his bachelor's degree from Chadron State in December 2025 and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Sports Management.
