2014: Named a team captain … Started two games before injury forced him to sit out … Had a career-high nine tackles in the first game of the season against Missouri S&T … received a medical redshirt … Named RMAC All-Academic honorable mention.
2013: One of four defensive players to start all 11 games in 2013 … He finished the season with 38 tackles and had a team-high 10 pass break ups … He also had 1.5 tackles for loss and forced a fumble … For his career, he’s broken up 25 passes and has four interceptions … He wrote a blog for the CSC sports information office during the season … “Conor’s Corner” was read by more than 17,000 visitors and was named the top blog in District 7 by CoSIDA in its Fred Stabley Jr. Writing Contest … An RMAC All-Academic choice for the second-straight year.
2012: Helped solidify the Eagles’ secondary into a formidable unit … He appeared in all 12 games, starting 11 of them … He had four interceptions that he returned for 80 yards and he added 40 total tackles and broke up 10 more passes … He was also an RMAC All-Academic Second Team choice … Set a team record by recording a 41-inch vertical in the spring … He also lines up at wide receiver in select formations.
2011: Was one of the surprise players because of his seamless switch from wide receiver to cornerback … He played the final seven games of the season at cornerback when the Eagles’ defensive backfield was littered with injuries … He made the most of his opportunity and had four tackles and broke up a pass near the end of CSC’s thrilling overtime victory over Colorado Mesa.
2010: Redshirted during his first season at Chadron State.
High School: Had a great season in 2009, finishing with 38 receptions for 709 yards and 13 touchdowns … He averaged 18.6 yards a reception … Also returned kicks, accumulating over 300 yards … On defense, he made 28 tackles and three interceptions … He was named all-state in 2009 … A two-time all-conference player and earned honorable mention to the Argus Leader Elite 45 and was South Dakota’s nominee for the Jerry Rice award … He also played basketball at St. Thomas More and placed seventh in the Class A 100 meters at the 2010 track meet with a time of 11.48 seconds.
Personal: Has a 3.325 GPA while majoring in English … Son of Mary and the late Kevin Casey … He has three siblings: Kevin, Bridget and Caitlin … Born Sept. 24.
