2014: Emerged as a true outside threat for the Eagles … Started nine games … was second on the team in receptions and yards with 35 and 566, respectfully … Twenty percent of his catches went for touchdowns with seven … Had a career high 114 yards on just three receptions against Adams State University … Had a three touchdown performance on seven catches against Western New Mexico University … Named to the RMAC All-Academic First Team as well as the All-District Academic Team … Also placed on the RMAC All-Conference Third Team.
2013: Another young player who continued to rise … He played in all 11 games … He made 11 receptions for 119 yards and scored a TD.
2012: Had a solid true freshman season at wide receiver … He played in 10 games, including one start late in the season … He had nine receptions for 127 yards and added two carries for 31 yards … He also recorded five tackles on special teams … He had a career-high three receptions for 41 yards against New Mexico Highlands.
High School: The younger brother of former CSC quarterback Patrick O’Boyle … Danny led the Panhandle 11-man players in receiving with 50 receptions for 685 yards and seven touchdowns as a senior in 2011 … He also ranked third on Gering’s tackle chart with 29 unassisted and 28 assisted tackles … He was first-team all-Western Conference last fall and received first-team Class B all-state at receiver from the Lincoln Journal Star … He was honorable mention from the Omaha World-Herald and Huskerland Prep Report … Played in the Shrine Bowl and also helped lead Gering to the state title in American Legion baseball … He also won the 400 meters at the Western Conference Track Meet and was second in Class B at the state meet in 48.63 seconds in 2012.
