2011: Started the season off in great fashion by running for 140 yards in the season opener against Mary … He then rushed for 50 yards against Angelo State but he suffered a traumatic injury to his head … He was knocked out late in the third quarter and collapsed as he was being helped to the bench … He was flown by helicopter to Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff and underwent surgery to remove a blood clot in his brain … He fully recovered quickly, though, and has been medically cleared to play … He has gained 993 yards on 182 carries in his career for a 5.5 average.
2010: He didn’t play in the season opener but that would be the last time that happened after he proved his worth … He ended up running for 803 yards and scoring six touchdowns, while averaging a whopping 5.7 yards per carry … He also made 20 receptions for 220 yards and two touchdowns … He rushed for over 100 yards four different times, including 195 yards on just 10 carries against Fort Lewis … For that performance he was named both the RMAC and Nebraska Player of the Week … He also tied a CSC record by carrying the ball 39 times against Mesa State … He ended up rushing for 153 yards and had a career-high 224 all-purpose yards … Had 12 plays of over 20 yards, including five that went for over 45 yards.
2009: Came to CSC with his Ventura teammate Brandon Gunter, now a student assistant coach … Dominic was the leading rusher for the Pirates in 2009 with 543 yards (4.8 average) and he scored five TDs … He also made eight grabs for 56 yards and two touchdowns.
High School: He was All-CIF two years and all-conference three … Also played baseball, basketball and volleyball.
