2018 Outlook: 
2017: Led the team in tackles for the second straight year with 90...Had 2.5 tackles for loss with two sacks and one interception...had a season high 15 tackles against Dixie State...started all 11 games while being named honorable mention All-RMAC and Omaha World Herald All-Midlands First Team. 
2016: Led the team in total tackles (74) and interceptions (3) as a redshirt freshman, despite playing much of the season with a cast for a broken wrist ... started 8 of 11 games at linebacker, earning All-Nebraska DII honors from the Omaha World-Herald ... all three of his picks came in the final two contests of the season, with one interception against Black Hills State and two against conference co-champion CSU-Pueblo
2015: Redshirted his freshman season
High School: Johnson was the leading tackler for Chadron High School in 2013 and 2014 and averaged 7.0 yards a carry while rushing for 649 yards last fall. He was first-team all-Western Conference and honorable mention all-state as a senior.
