2012: Named to the RMAC All-Conference Preseason First Team and is a preseason All-American, as named by USA Football News … Named a team captain.
2011:  Played a big role in every game, starting 10 of 11 contests … He had 40 total tackles, including 12.5 tackles for loss – the second most on the team … He also had six sacks, five quarterback hurries and two forced fumbles … One of his forced fumbles came against Western State to secure a victory for the Eagles … He was placed on the RMAC All-Conference Third Team and was All-Nebraska Division II honorable mention following the season … Had a career high six tackles against Western New Mexico, including 2.5 sacks.
2010: A player who showed flashes of how he can dominate a game with his speed and strength … Had 27 total tackles, but almost a third of them went for a loss … Also forced a fumble and had four sacks … Started two games and played all over the defensive line at tackle and end … Was placed on the RMAC All-Conference Third Team.
2009: Made six tackles and had 1.5 sacks in seven games … He also contributed on special teams.
2008: Redshirted at the University of Nebraska after walking on.
High School: A standout on Maxwell’s 2007 team that went 9-1 and reached the state playoffs for just the second time in the school’s history … He played fullback and middle linebacker … Had 63 solo and 68 unassisted tackles his senior years
Personal: A physical education and recreation major … Son of Brad and Sandy Burke … Both his brother, Sawyer, and sister, Maggie, play collegiate athletics … Sawyer will is an incoming freshman defensive back at CSC and Maggie plays volleyball at Mid Plains Community College … Born Jan. 29.
