2014: Named to the Preseason All-RMAC Team … A team captain.
2013: One of the leaders of the defense who started all 11 games ... He finished third on the team with 74 tackles ... He added six pass break-ups and blocked a kick ... His season got off to a fantastic start when he grabbed two interceptions in the Eagles’ opener against Missouri S&T ... He returned his second interception for a 79-yard touchdown in double overtime to win the game ... He was named to the All-Nebraska First Team and the All-RMAC Third Team following the season ... He was also a two-time Nebraska Player of the Week.
2012: Started every game at cornerback and became one of the better defensive backs in the RMAC … He had three interceptions, including one he returned for a touchdown against Western State … He’s also a solid tackler, finishing the season with 59 total stops, five tackles for loss and one forced fumble … He also broke up four passes … He had a career-high nine tackles against Montana State, including eight solo stops … He was named to the All-Nebraska First Team and the All-RMAC Third Team following the season.
2011: The coaching staff was originally intending for him to redshirt but he was thrust into the starting lineup in the third week of the season and continued to start the remainder of the season … He recorded 24 tackles, broke up six passes and had a key interception in the Eagles’ game at UNK … He had a season-high six tackles against Western New Mexico and followed that up with another six tackles a week later against Fort Lewis.
High School: Caught 28 passes for 474 yards and six TDs in 2009 ... In 2010, he caught 24 for 320 yards and 3 TDs and had 46 unassisted and 35 assisted tackles along with five pass interceptions ... Also played basketball and won the triple jump and the high jump as both a junior and senior at the Class C District Track Meet ... He was the only Panhandle player chosen for the 2011 Shrine Bowl football game and caught two passes and intercepted another one.
Personal: Son of Leonard and Kim … Has a brother, Lex … A criminal justice major … Born March 19.
