Chadron State College Athletics

Nunes was an excellent  addition to the Chadron State team in 2012, when she placed several times in distance races…She had bests of 5:31.9 in the mile and 11:15.30 in the 3000 indoors, then ran the 1500 in 5:08.35, the 3000 in 11:35.10 and the 5000 in 18:56.71 outdoors…Her marks were not quite as good in 2013, but she ran well during the cross country season this past fall and is expected to have a fine track and field season…She’s an excellent team member who gives both sports her best…During her  career at Alliance High, she often placed second to Aubree Worden of Scottsbluff, who set the all-class state meet record in the 1600 and the Class B state meet record in the 3200 and is now running at Florida State…Nunes placed 10^th twice and 12^th once in Class B at State Cross Country Meets and was a three-time Class B placewinner in the 3200 at the State Track Meet…Daughter of Jerry and Brenda Nunes…Born Dec. 2, 1992…Has a 3.78 GPA as an elementary education major.
