2015: Received RMAC honorable mention after a season in which he improved on his total tackles from his 2014 All-Conference season, finishing second on the team with 87 ... also recorded five tackles for loss, an interception, and a forced fumble ... started all 11 games for the Eagles at strong safety ... had a career best 16 total tackles against NCAA Division I opponent Missouri State ... eight solo tackles, a called-back interception, and a forced fumble in a win at Black Hills State
2014: Had another amazing season in which he had 84 tackles, over half of which were solo … Was named to the RMAC All-Conference First Team … A hard hitter at safety, Wood also had two interceptions, seven pass breakups, nine deflections, a tackle for loss, a QB hurry and a fumble recovery.
2013: He had a fabulous freshman season, resulting in him being named the RMAC Defensive Freshman of the Year … He played in 10 games and started the final nine … He finished the season with 53 tackles, four tackles for loss, 10 passes defended and a team high three interceptions … He was also placed on the All-Nebraska Division II First Team.
2012: Redshirted during his first season at Chadron State … Named the Defensive Service Team MVP at the team’s postseason banquet.
High School: Caught 44 passes for 722 yards and 12 touchdowns … On defense, he accounted for 71 tackles, three interceptions and broke up eight passes … He was a three-time first team all-league choice and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds … He was also his high school team’s MVP.
Personal: Son of Brian and Denise … Has six siblings that compete collegiately, including his twin brother Brian.
