Biography

2014: Named a team captain.
2013: A stalwart in the offensive line and one of the best offensive linemen in the RMAC … He was named to the RMAC First Team and the All-Nebraska First Team after helping pave the way for Harlon Hill finalist Glen Clinton … He helped the Eagles’ offense lead the NCAA in third down conversion (52%) and CSC also led the conference in rushing yardage per game (233.8) … He’s a candidate for several off the field honors in 2014, including the Allstate Good Works Team … He was a big reason why the Big Event was such a success on Chadron State’s campus in the spring … He volunteered several hundred hours and he helped organize an event with nearly 700 people helping clean up around Chadron … He has started 24 games in his career … Following the season he was named a CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-American.
2012: Started every game at center and helped the Eagles average over 400 yards of total offense and 33 points a game … He has a great working relationship with quarterback Jonn McLain and is one of the strongest players on the team … He was named the Eagles’ Lifter of the Year following the season … He is highly visible on the Chadron State campus … He was elected as the Blue Key president in the spring and he helped organize the Big Event, a community wide clean-up project … He also speaks to local youth groups and high school FCA huddles … Named to the RMAC All-Academic Second Team.
2011: Started the first two games of the season at center when the original starter moved to left tackle when the Eagles were decimated with injuries on the offensive line … Played in 10 of 11 games … Named RMAC All-Academic Honorable Mention.
2010: Redshirted during his first season at CSC.
High School: A good two-sport athlete … He was a three-year starter for the football team and was named to the Lincoln Journal Star and Omaha World-Herald 6-man all-state teams … He was also placed on the Star-Herald second team … Also wrestled, claiming a fifth place finish at heavyweight at state as a junior and senior.
Personal: A communications major with a 3.85 GPA … Has six brothers and sisters: Graham, Rebekah, Philip, Joel, Emily and Suzanna … Son of Matt and Mary … Born March 21.
