2014: Played in every game and made two starts for the Eagles … Had 13 catches for 127 yards and a touchdown … Had a career-high 38 yards on three receptions against Colorado Mesa University … Also contributed on special teams.
2013: Appeared in 10 games and made two tackles on special teams … Had another solid basketball season for the Eagles and was named to the All-RMAC Second Team for the second-straight season.
2012: Went through spring ball as an inside receiver with the Eagles after having an outstanding season for the men’s basketball team … He was the leading scorer in the RMAC, averaging 18.2 points per game … He also averaged a team-high 5.8 rebounds.
Before CSC: Played two seasons of basketball at Butler County Community College in Kansas … As a sophomore he averaged nine points and five rebounds.
High School: He was a tremendous athlete at Chadron High, helping lead the basketball team to two Class C-1 title games and a fourth place finish and two top 10 football seasons … The Cards’ basketball team won 72 of 80 games his final three seasons … He averaged 15 points and 6.6 rebounds while earning all-state honors his senior season and he scored 1,090 points during his prep career … On the gridiron, he finished his career with 53 receptions for 731 yards (13.7 ypc) and scored nine TDs … He was a two-time all-district choice and an all-conference selection as a junior … He also had 81 tackles and four interceptions in high school.
Personal: He’s the oldest son of head men’s basketball coach Brent Bargen … His mother, Leslie, also works at Chadron State in the alumni and foundation office … His sister, Ashley, played volleyball at Chadron State … Also has a brother, Jake … He’s a graduate assistant in the business department… Born Dec. 23.
