2018-19 Men's Basketball Roster
Biography
2017-18 Outlook: Expected to be an excellent addition. He hoped to play for the Eagles much of his life and now he’s getting the chance. He’s got a lot of tools—toughness, intelligence and an excellent shooting touch. Has been impressive during the preseason.
Before Chadron State: As a senior at Alliance High in 2014-15, Mills shot 45 percent from the field, canned 55 3-pointers while shooting 35.5 percent behind the arc, and sank 74 percent of his 131 free throws while leading the Panhandle in scoring with a 22.1 average. That summer he scored 34 points in the Panhandle Prep all-star game, and drew the comment “nobody could stop him from going to the basket” from that team’s coach. He then attended North Platte Community College, where he was averaging 9.3 points and shooting 38 percent from 3-point range when he suffered a knee near the end of the season. The injury also sidelined him last season, when he continued to attend NPCC, but could not play basketball. He’s fully recovered from the injury and has three years of eligibility remaining.
Personal: Son of Jeff and Brenda Mills. Born Jan. 17, 1997. He wants to coach and is majoring in health and physical education.
