2019-20 Men's Basketball Roster
Biography
2017-18 Outlook: After two years of junior college basketball, Sparks was expected to get lots of playing time in the CSC backcourt. However, he required surgery and may not be able to play this season. How quickly he recovers will tell the story. He’s primarily a point guard, shoots well, is both quick and fast and plays good defense. Expected to help make the Eagles’ running game click when he becomes available.
Before Chadron State: He was a three-time all-league selection while playing at Lincoln High in Denver and averaged 21.6 points his senior year while also handing out 3.6 assists a game. Initially attended Western Nebraska Community College in Scottsbluff, then moved to Otero Junior College last season. He averaged about 12 points each year and hit 45 percent of his 3-point shots as a freshman.
Personal: Son of Daniel Sparks and Ruth Valdez. Born Dec. 13, 1995. A sports management major with a business minor.
