Biography
2014: Placed second in the heptathlon at the Yellow Jackets Holiday Meet in early December 2013 with 4,513 points…Was first among the nine entries in the high jump (6-1 ¾) and the 1,000 (2:48.89).
2013: Because of a hamstring issue, competed only early in the indoor season and late in the outdoor season…He opened the indoor schedule by winning the heptathlon with 4,566 points at the Yellow Jackets Holiday Meet in early December…Then he was injured and redshirted the remainder of the indoor schedule…Did not compete outdoors until the RMAC Meet, where finished third in the decathlon with 5,895 points, despite not being at full strength.
2012: Competed only indoors and finished third in the RMAC heptathlon with 4,763 points, the Eagles’ third best all-time total…(CSC coach Brad Gamble, who set the national record while winning the heptathlon at the 2011 National Indoor Meet, holds the school record of 5,456 points).
Before CSC: Graduated from Rock Springs High in 2010…He placed third in both the 200 (22.29) and the 400 (50.74) in Class 4A at the Wyoming State Meet that spring….Also cleared 6-5 in the high jump as a prepster…Attended Mesa State in Colorado as a freshman in 2010-11, then transferred to CSC.
Personal: His younger sister, Shelby, is a standout multi-events contestant for the Eagles…Jazz was elected the CSC homecoming king in the fall of 2013…Son of David and Michelle Bozner…Born May 12, 1991…A business major with a 3.0 GPA.
