Biography

2018--Highlighted her season by setting the Chadron State steeplechase record of 10:56.80 while running at the Bryan Clay Meet at Azusa, Calif., in April and then placed sixth in the event at the RMAC Outdoor Meet.  She also had team- bests of 4:46.88 in the 1500 and 18:36.02 in the 5000. Both are CSC’s eighth best all-time marks. Henry also was the Eagles’ top runner during the 2018 cross country season, finishing in the upper 25 percent of the entries at the Southwest Regional Meet. 
2017—Henry redshirted during the 2016 cross country season and both 2017 track and field seasons.  She ran cross country again in the fall of 2017 and led the Lady Eagles by an eyelash ahead of Nicky Banzhaf at several of those meets.  
2016—Had one of the best seasons of any freshman, male or female, on the Chadron State cross country team in the fall of 2015.  She helped the Eagles win the Woody Greeno-UNL Meet in Lincoln by placing eighth and had the Eagles’ second best mark of 22:50.0 in 10 kilometers at the South Central Regional Meet in early November. Her best marks during the 2016 track season were 5:10.24 in the mile and 10:28.16 in the 3000, both indoors.  She also ran the opening leg on the distance medley relay team that set the school record.  
Before Chadron State:  She placed fourth in Class 4A at the Wyoming State Cross Country Meet in the fall of 2014 and was second in the 800 in 2:21.89 and fifth in the 1600 in 5:23.68 at the state track meet in the May of 2015.
Personal: Daughter of Sean and Kimberly Henry, who now live in Ohio. She’s a sports and recreation management major.
