Chadron State College Athletics

2019--Opened the season by scoring 211 more points in the pentathlon at the Colorado Mines Alumni Classic than she had scored there the previous year. 
2018--Placed fourth among 13 entries in the pentathlon at the RMAC Indoor Meet with 3,076 points and fourth among 12 in the heptathlon at the outdoor meet with 4,453 points. Won the heptathlon over 10 competitors with 4,153 points during unfavorable weather conditions at West Texas A&M in early April. Had career best marks of 25.74 in the 200 and 9:38 in the 60 hurdles indoors and 25.71 in the 200 and 16.03 in the 100 hurdles outdoors. She also ran on the Eagles’ sprint relay teams. 
2017—Had best times of 26.47 in the 200, 59.93 in the 400 and 9.48 in the 60 hurdles, long jumped 17-5 and scored 3,147 points in the pentathlon indoors.  The latter was good for fourth place at the RMAC Championships.  In addition, she placed seventh in the long jump.  Her outdoor bests were 25.79 in the 200, 16.46 in the 100 high hurdles, 18-2 ½ in the long jump and 4,466 points in the heptathlon, good for third place at the RMAC Meet.  In addition, she was on the Eagles’ second place 4x100 relay team that set the school record of 45.46 at the conference’s outdoor meet and qualified for nationals.  Horton also was a member of CSC’s third place 4x400 relay at the RMAC outdoor showdown. 
2016—Closed out the season by placing fourth in the RMAC heptathlon with 4,307 points.   
Before Chadron State:  She had posted excellent marks in the sprints, high hurdles and long jump as a senior at Fountain-Fort Carson High before being injured.  She placed second in the long jump at the state meet as a sophomore.
Personal: Daughter of Gregory and Catrina Horton.  A criminal justice major and a member of the ROTC Unit at Chadron State.
