2021: Derek Horton joined the CSC staff in 2020-21 after a stellar intercollegiate career at NCAA Division II Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He was a seven-time All-American pole vaulter there, and earned numerous accolades from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference as well. As a freshman Horton was named the conference Freshman of the Year and earned his first All-America honor by finishing eighth at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships. He then went on to earn six more All-America titles and six PSAC pole vault championships with one league runner-up finish. Horton placed as high as fifth at national meets, and as a senior he was named PSAC Indoor Athlete of the Year and USTFCCCA All-Region. He will coach pole vaulters for the Eagles and will assist with distance runners as well.
