2022-23: Competed in 6 indoor meets including the RMAC Indoor Championships and 1 outdoor meet for the Eagles. Had season-best indoor times of 7:01 in the 60, 22:08 in the 200, and 50.24 in the 400. He also placed 3rd at the RMAC Indoor Championships in the 400.
2021-22: For the second consecutive season finished as 400 meter runner-up at RMAC Indoor Championships ... also earned third consecutive bronze with 4x400 relay
2020-21: Earned his first RMAC runner-up title and first individual placing at the indoor championships in the men's 400 meters ... placed third with the 4x400 relay for the second consecutive season ... at the outdoor RMAC Championships, took his first two gold medals, running in both sprint relays
2019-20: After missing the first meet of the year, came back to be one of the teams' top 400 runners. Showed improvement throughout the season and ran the first leg of the 4x400 that finished 3rd at the conference meet and was 8th fastest in school history. Had a season best time of 23.23 in the 200.
High School: NE Class D state runner-up in 400 meters in 2019 at Garden County High in Oshkosh, Nebraska ... three-time state placer ... six-time district champ and two time runner-up
Personal: Son of Eduardo and Eustolia Vargas...has four siblings, Johnny Vargas, Anselmo Cano, Osiel Cano, Daisy Cano...Osiel competes on the track team as well
