Biography
2017—Stacia got her senior season off to a great start by going 19-11 in the long jump and running the 60-meter day in 7.50 seconds to break her school record at the Colorado Mines Alumni Meet in December 2016.
2016—One of Chadron State’s all-time outstanding scholar-athletes. Highlights included winning the RMAC indoor long jump with a school record leap of 20-9 and the gold medal at the National Meet at 20-4 ½. She also was second in the long jump at the RMAC Outdoor Meet at 20-3 ¾, then a week later jumped 20-10 and 20-11 ¾ at back-to-back Last Chance Meets hosted by Colorado Mines. She then was the silver medalist in the long jump at the National Outdoor Meet, going a school record 21-2 ½, a quarter of an inch shy of the winning mark by Nikia Squire of Queens University in North Carolina. Stachia can also run. She set the CSC records of 7.57 seconds while placing second in the 60 meters at the RMAC Indoor Meet and 11.65 while winning the 100 meters at the RMAC Outdoor Meet. She also ran the first leg on the Eagles’ winning 4x100 relay at the conference meet and received the award as the RMAC’s Academic Athlete of the Year both indoors and outdoors. She had received one B and the rest A’s at CSC entering her senior year.
2015—A long jump All-American both indoors and outdoors. She placed sixth in the long jump at the DII Indoor Championships by going 19-1 ½ and was seventh Outdoors at 20-3. Her season bests were 21-1 ½ indoors and her national mark outdoors. Both were CSC school records until she broke them in 2016. At the RMAC Meets, she was third indoors at 20-1 ½ and second outdoors at 19-11 ½, the school record until she bettered it at the national meet. Reuwsaat also set the school record of 7.63 in the 60 meters and had a best of 25.87 in the 200 indoors. Her outdoor bests in the sprints were 12.28 in the 100 and 25.26 in the 200. She also was the anchor on the 4x100 relay team that set the school record pf 47.40 at the RMAC Meet. In addition, she continued to earn straight A’s in the classroom, making her one of six CSC women to earn U.S. Track and Field Coaches Association All-Academic honors.
2014—Burst onto the CSC scene by winning first in the long jump at four indoor meets and placing second at the RMAC Meet with a season-best of 19-6 ¾. She was sixth in the long jump at the RMAC Outdoor Meet at 19-0, but went 19-7 at the Colorado Mines Last Chance Meet a few days later to break Caryn Martin’s school record of 19-6 that had stood since 1992. She also qualified both national meets, but did not place, despite going 19-1 ¼ at the outdoor championships. She also had bests of 7.87 in the 60 and 26.32 in the 200 indoors and 12.21 in the 100 outdoors
Before Chadron State: Stachia was the star of the Class A South Dakota State Meet in 2013, when she won the 100 in 12.14, the 200 in 26.12 and the long jump at 18-9 ½ besides anchoring the winning 4x100 relay for St. Thomas More High School. Her long jump was a state meet record.
