RMAC Indoor T&F Academic Honor Roll (2020)

2018--After having a terrific high school career while participating in cross country, basketball and track and field, she was on the Eagles’ basketball team in 2017-18, then joined the track team in the spring.  She qualified for the finals of the 400-meter low hurdles at the RMAC Outdoor Meet in 1:04.55.  She ran the finals in 1:07.35 while finishing ninth.  She also ran the anchor leg on the CSC 4x400 relay team that placed fifth in 3:57.48. As a sophomore in 2018-19, she is concentrating on track.
Before Chadron State:  Cardona won the Nebraska Class C state cross country championship as both a freshman and a sophomore at Mitchell High and also placed in the distances at the State Track Meet five times before concentrating on shorter races as a senior in 2017.  That season she won the 300 hurdles and anchored the winning 4x400 relay team at both the Western Conference and Class C-11 District Meets.  She also placed fifth in the hurdles and helped the Tigers win the silver medal in the 4x400 relay at the state meet.  During the winter she was a starter on the Mitchell basketball teams that won 20 games when she was a junior in 2015-16 and went 23-2 when she was a senior and qualified for the State Tournament both years.  A strong student, was one of the seven participants selected for the Rural Law Opportunities Program CSC when she was a freshman in the fall of 2017.
