Biography

2023-24: RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll... Played in 18 games, making seven starts... Averaged 5.2 points, 1.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game... Second on the team in assists... Season-high 13 points against South Dakota Mines (2/3), shooting 8-8 from the line as part of that performance... Season-highs of eight assists and five steals against York (11/20).

2022-23: Tanaba played in all 28 games last season while starting 22. The Hawaii native was third on the team with an average of seven points per game. Tanabe led the team with a free throw percentage of .766 and finished tied for second in assists with 52. 

2021-22: Redshirt Season

High School: Was a two-time KH champion, two-time state champion, ILH Second Team selection, Walter Goo Award recipient and made the Headmaster's List at 'Iolani School.

Personal: Parents are Janell and Brian Tanabe ... Sibling is Nico...majoring in Biology
