Angie Poitra re-joined the CSC athletic department as the office assistant in May 2021, where she assists administrators and coaches with a variety of tasks, including general support and customer service, and serves as the first point of contact for the department.
Before joining Chadron State as a full-time employee, Poitra worked at Chadron Community Hospital providing administrative support to the Physical Therapy department for three years.
She previously worked with the sports information department as an undergraduate student at Chadron State during the 2016-2017 academic year. As a student, she also participated in a variety of campus activities and events, such as starting The Nest, an athletic marketing club on campus, working as an advertising assistant for The Big Event, and acting as advertising director for The Eagle, Chadron State’s award-winning student-run newspaper, for several years.
Poitra received her bachelor’s degree in communication arts, emphasis in public relations, from Chadron State College in December 2021, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sports management from Chadron State College.
If she is not working administratively during events, you can find Poitra snapping photos on the sidelines. She also enjoys watching sports, playing video games, doing graphic design, and spending time with her family.
Poitra, a native of Colorado Springs, Colo., and her husband, Nicoli, have three dogs, two cats, and a crested gecko.
