Kyle Shirley

Kyle Shirley joined the CSC coaching staff in 2024, working with Eagle distance runners across the cross country and track programs. In Shirley's first season on staff, the distance program achieved several competitive and academic milestones, including the women’s best team RMAC finish in seven years, five individual qualifiers to the RMAC Outdoor Championships and a program-record 10 cross country student-athletes earning academic honors in one season.

Shirley competed in cross country and track for the Eagles from 2022-2024 and also competed in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference at Fort Lewis. As a collegiate and now post-collegiate runner, Shirley has excelled with personal bests of 1:13:27 (Half-Marathon), 32:12 (10K), 25:59 (8K), 19:41 (6K), 15:28 (5K), and 8:56 (3K).

A standout in the classroom, Shirley was a two-time winner of the RMAC Summit Award, given to the student-athlete with the highest GPA competing at each RMAC sport's conference championship, and also received five RMAC All-Academic honors. Shirley graduated from Chadron State with a business degree in 2024, earning a perfect 4.0 GPA, and is currently completing his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) at CSC.Â
