Chadron State College Athletics

Paxton Ritchey joined Chadron State in August 2024 as the school's Sports Information Director. In that role, he serves as the primary media contact for CSC's 14 sports, in addition to overseeing the department's website, social media accounts and overall communication efforts. 

Prior to Chadron State, Ritchey spent two years as a graduate assistant in the sports information department at Colorado Mesa University. He was the primary media contact for men’s and women’s soccer, men’s basketball and men’s and women’s lacrosse and was the official media contact for two RMAC Men's Basketball Championships, two RMAC Men's Lacrosse Championships and a Women's Soccer NCAA Regional. He also spent a year at the Division II Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC), where he assisted in communications for the conference office and helped organize conference championships. Ritchey worked at the 2022 NCAA March Madness regional held at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.

Ritchey graduated with a master's degree in sport management from Colorado Mesa in 2024 and a bachelor's degree in journalism from Pepperdine University in 2021. He also spent the summer of 2019 interning for the Everett AquaSox, the Single-A baseball affiliate of the Seattle Mariners.
