2024: One of the most prolific hitters in Chadron State history is Brighton, Colorado’s Kayla Campuzano (formerly Michel), who played first base, catcher, and designated player at various times in her career. She returned to the team as a coaching assistant in fall of 2019.
She ranks among the top five in the CSC program for career RBI, walks, sac bunts, home runs, and sac flies, and now holds the CSC single-season record for RBI.
Campuzano, a vocal and supportive teammate as a player, provided much-needed seniority during both her junior and senior seasons and continues to lead as a coaching assistant. She is now in her fourth season.
