Simpson added to his season-best long jump this weekend, setting a new indoor personal best as well. He marked 7.74 meters (25-04.75") to win the event by more than a foot over former Colorado Mines standout Seun Ogunmodede at the Joe Davies Classic in Golden, Colorado. Ogunmodede was an all-conference long jumper and a triple jump champion in the 2015 outdoor season. Simpson is now second on the NCAA Division II list behind Lutalo Boyce of TAMU-Kingsville, who finished second behind him at last year's NCAA outdoor meet.
