After being idle since Nov. 23, the Chadron State College wrestling team will make its home debut for the 2013-14 season by hosting teams from the Dakotas this week.
Â
Dickinson State of North Dakota will visit at 7 p.m. Wednesday night for a dual in the Nelson Physical Activity Center and Northern State of Aberdeen, S.D., will visit at 2 p.m. Saturday.
Â
Both matches will be streamed online at:

Â
The duals will wrap up the Eagles' schedule until they wrestle Morningside College in Valentine on Jan. 4.
Â
Early last December, both Dickinson State and Northern State nipped the Eagles by the narrowest of margins. Dickinson won 21-18 and Northern won 21-20 on criteria after both teams won five matches and had the same number of team points, but the Wolves had two pins and the Eagles just one.
Â
Later in the season when the Chadron team was depleted at several weights because of injuries, the Dickinson Blue Hawks overwhelmed the Eagles 45-6 in Chadron.
Â
CSC coach
Brett Hunter said Dickinson is high in the current NAIA rankings. He added that Northern State also has a solid team again.
Â
The Eagles will be without two of their regulars this week. Both
Taylor Summers at 125 pounds and
Caleb Copeland at 165 have injuries that will likely sideline them for several weeks. Their replacements will be
Alex Klopp and
Tyler Smart, respectively, Hunter said.
Â
On the other side of the coin, both senior Jordan Debus at 184 pounds and junior
Michael Hill at heavyweight are expected to be ready to wrestle after they have been on the injured list almost since the season began in early November.
Â
While he has wrestled just one match this season, Debus is still sixth in the NCAA Division II rankings at 184. The Eagles' other senior,
Dustin Stodola, is fourth among the 133-pounders after going 10-0 so far this year.
