CHADRON – Regis University's Caitie Breaux and Mary Schroeder both had nine kills to lead the Rangers to a 25-17, 25-10, 25-7 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference victory over Chadron State College Friday evening at Armstrong Gymnasium.

With the win, Regis improves to 11-4 overall and 6-1 in the conference. Chadron State, which will host the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs Saturday at 6 p.m., falls to 3-12 overall and 2-5 in the RMAC.

The Rangers' offense was balanced, thanks in large part to setter Rebecca Sponcil, who tallied 24 set assists, added five digs, two blocks and chipped in two kills.

Regis led nearly the entire match and hit .236 as a team, committing just 13 errors. Breaux, who served three aces, and Schroeder, who assisted on two blocks, led the way with nine kills apiece but three others had at least five.

Erika Roybal led Chadron State with five kills and
Hanna Flaming added four more.
