CHADRON – Kim Catlett had 14 kills to lead the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs to a 25-18, 25-20, 25-13 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference victory over Chadron State College Saturday night.

The Mountain Lions (9-8, 6-3 RMAC) had a distributed attack behind setter Morgan Evans, who finished with 36. UCCS had six players with five or more kills on the night.

The University of Colorado-Colorado Springs had seven service aces, led by Catlett's four.

Chadron State, now 3-13 overall and 2-6 in the league, fought hard in the second set, coming back down 11-17 to rally to 17-18. However, Madison Palmer put down one of her nine kills to to get the Mountain Lions back on the board and UCCS added a late block to win the set.

The Eagles' offense was balanced. Setter
Shelby Gardner finished the night with 22 assists to eight different teammates.

Erika Roybal led CSC with seven kills and
Lelalelei Nomura chipped in five.
Alexis Farris, who had a team-high 12 digs, contributed six kills for the team.

Alia Brennan, who had four kills, turned back six UCCS attacks, finishing up with two solo blocks and four block assists to lead all competitors. Chadron State finished with eight team blocks, compared to three for the Mountain Lions.
