CHADRON – On Friday, basketball fans will finally have the opportunity to watch a game in the Chicoine Events Center when the Eagles host Presentation College. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.

The women's basketball team will make their home debut Tuesday against Montana State University-Billings.
 
The Chicoine Center officially opened Wednesday, Nov. 5, but Friday's men's basketball game will be the first-ever competition to take place on Loy Young Court, named after the former CSC men's basketball coach who guided the Eagles to an 84-37 record from 1951-56.
 
The horseshoe-shaped arena, which runs east to west, seats 1,750 spectators. The public will enter the mezzanine level on the southwestern corner of the building and enter the stands from the top. More than 600 seats have collapsible backs to them. There are 14 sections of seating, beginning with section 101 on the southeast corner of the building. The student section is located in 109 and 110.
 
All seats with collapsible backs are considered reserved seating. All other seating is general admission. Each patron, including Chadron State College employees and staff, entering the Chicoine Center will require a ticket from the booth located near the southwestern entrance to the building. Anyone with a Chadron State pass (employees, students, Golden Eagles, Athletic Hall of Fame members, etc.) will receive free general admission. If that person would like reserved seating for a single game, he or she will have to pay the passholder reserved seating price, or upgrade to a passholder reserved seating season ticket.
