DENVER – The No. 14-ranked Metro State University of Denver men's basketball team defeated Chadron State College 72-51 in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference match up
Saturday evening.
The Roadrunners, now 9-2 overall and 4-1 in the RMAC, have won three games in a row.
On Saturday, Metro State's Mitch McCarron scored a game-high 21 points. He shot 53 percent from the field, and added six assists and three blocks. The Roadrunners spread the ball around well as four players scored in double-digits. Jourdan Hunter scored 17, while Nicholas Kay and Dalante Dunklin added 14 and 10, respectively. Hunter, who sank four 3-pointers, shot 86 percent from the field.
The Eagles' offense struggled. They shot 35 percent from the field and 26 percent from long range.
Three CSC players reached double digits. Guard
Christopher Smith, who hit four of five from beyond the arc, scored a team-high 16 points.
Kendrick Holliman and
Davante McCallam chipped in 14 and 10 points, respectively. Both Holliman and McCallam also had seven rebounds.
