CHADRON, Neb. -- November 20, 2015 -- Chadron State women's basketball had a tough home opener, hosting a talented Augustana University squad which led from start to finish, winning in Chadron 82-52. The Vikings improve to 3-0, while CSC falls to 0-2.

Turnovers plagued the home team who gave the ball up 33 times, leading to 37 points against them. Out of the 33 miscues, 13 of them occurred in the first period, helping Augustana to 15 additional points out of the gate. The Vikings had 18 turnovers in the game, however CSC only managed to convert those into five points.

Augustana's Logan O'Farrell poured in 21 points to lead the visitors, who scored with 11 different players on the night. The pesky guard also nabbed five steals and was a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line. 

Viking guard Sophie Kenney also reach double-digits, hitting five of her 16 shots for 12 points and dishing out five assists.

For the Eagles, who shot 27.0% in the game, Maka Daysh provided the most points, collecting 13 on 7-of-11 free throw shooting. She added six rebounds.

Allegria Chisom bucked the trend on a poor shooting night for the Eagles, hitting 3-of-6 from the field and finishing with seven points.

Newcomer Erin Graham recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds in only 23 minutes. 

The Vikings shot a modest 34.9% from the floor, however, their average was limited as they fired 42 shots from beyond the three-point arc and found the net on only nine of them. Inside the arc they were good for nearly 50%.

The Eagles will play again tomorrow, hosting the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Tip-off is 5:30 p.m. in Chadron.
