CHADRON, Neb. — The Chadron State College women's basketball team built a 9-2 lead over Black Hills State in the first six and one-half minutes her Friday night, but Black Hills State eventually got untracked, led 28-19 at halftime and went on to defeat the Eagles 63-46 in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference
Except for the opening minutes, the Yellow Jackets dominated. They won the rebounding battle by a 40-27 margin, helping them get 18 more field goal attempts, resulting in 10 more field goals.
The Eagles claimed just four offensive rebounds.
For the game, Black Hills shot 43 percent (27-63) and the Eagles 38.6 percent (17-44) from the field.
Sophomore Rachel Erickson led the Jackets with 14 points and senior Bailey Kusser contributed 12. The pair combined to make four of five 3-point shots.
No one reached double figures for Chadron State, but both guard

Maka Daysh scored nine points.
Kayla Mathews added eight and was credited with five assists.
Both teams were plagued by turnovers. Chadron State had 24 and Black Hills State 20.
