LAS VEGAS, N.M. – The Chadron State College softball team loss two game against Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference foe New Mexico Highlands University Saturday afternoon. Both games ended in the score of 6-0, with the Eagles looking to strike back Sunday when the two teams square off again.

The Eagles (10-28, 10-16 RMAC) fell in the first game, just amassing a single hit through seven innings. Mistakes plagued CSC as the team committed five errors in the first game.

In the second game, the Eagles allowed just one run through four innings, but in the fifth Highlands (16-22, 10-15 RMAC) scored five runs off of six hits.

Amanda Einspahr was the lone hit in the first game, while
Courtney Lecher,
Casey Polk,
Zoe Humphries and
Katelyn Kruger all made contact in game two.

For the Cowgirls, Jacquelyn Wood went three for four at the plate in game one, while Destiny Navarro was three for four in the second game. Navarro also successfully stole home in the fifth inning of the second game.

Jessica Brink earned her ninth win of the season while striking out 10 in the circle for NMHU.
