CHADRON, Neb -- February 4, 2017 -- Colorado Mines sank 11 of 20 3-point attempts and was 21 of 25 from the free throw line Saturday night while downing Chadron State 84-73 in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference women's basketball game.
While Mines led the rough and tumble contest all the way after breaking the 17-17 tie at the end of the first period, the Eagles stayed within striking range most of the game. The difference was just 66-61 with 5:45 to play.
Mines salted the game away in the fourth quarter when it buried all four of its shots from behind the arc and was 10 of 12 at the charity stripe.
Five Orediggers scored in double figures, led by Paige Husa's 18 points. Emily Bailey and Cassidy Burge each added 16. Â Burge scored 11 of her total in the fourth quarter.
Erin Graham paced the Eagles with 17 points while Kalli Fedderson scored 16 points and had 10 rebounds and five assists, both game-highs. Freshman
Kylah Collins also had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Keeley Pearce added 10 points for the Eagles, now 6-13 for the season and 6-10 in the conference.
Mines is 15-11 overall and 11-6 in the RMAC.Â
