Four players scored in double-digits and the Colorado School of Mines Orediggers defeated the Chadron State women's basketball team 81-52 Friday night.

Colorado School of Mines scored 35 points off 27 Eagle turnovers and outscored CSC 44-14 in the paint.

"Mines was ready to go tonight," Head Coach
Janet Raymer said. "We had 27 turnovers and that killed us."

The Orediggers opened the game on an 8-2 scoring run before
Jessica Harvey made two straight three-points to tie the game at eight. Mines proceeded to score the next six points and never lost the lead the rest the game.

Chadron State made 18 of their 54 shot attempts for 33 percent. The Orediggers finished at 48 percent from the field, making 31 of their 65 attempts.

Mines made 15 of its 18 free throws and had 13 turnovers in the victory. The Eagles finished nine of 15 from the charity stripe, all coming in the second half.

"We looked good early on but we didn't get to the free throw line until the second half which really hurt us."

Colorado School of Mines had 19 assists compared to CSC's 14. Both teams recorded 36 rebounds.

Denali Pinto led Mines with 16 points, Cassidy Budge had 13 and Raven Herrera and Anna Kollmorgen had 11 and 10 respectively. Megan Van da Graaf led both teams with 12 rebounds.

Sophomore's
Taryn Foxen and
Jessica Harvey led Chadron State in scoring. Foxen finished with 16 points and Harvey had 13. Freshman
Jori Peters led the Eagles with eight assists and only had two turnovers.

The Orediggers improve to 13-8 overall and 10-6 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. Chadron State falls to 4-18 overall and 3-13 in the conference.

CSC returns to action as they face the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs tomorrow. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
