Eagles snap losing streak in win over CSU-Pueblo

CHADRON, Neb. -- Chadron State snapped a seven-game losing streak and junior Taryn Foxen eclipsed the 1000-point mark for her career Friday night, as the Eagles defeated CSU-Pueblo 58-41.

The win improves CSC to 6-23 overall and 4-16 in the RMAC. The Thunderwolves fall to 6-19 and 5-15 in conference play.

"We showed a lot of maturity tonight," Head Coach Janet Raymer said. "I'm really proud of how we were able to turn it around."

CSC trailed 23 to 18 heading into halftime, but used a 26-10 advantage in the third quarter to gain the lead and never lost it. The Eagles led by 11 entering the final period of play and grew the lead to as large as 19 in the victory.

"We started attacking more in the second half," Raymer said.

Chadron State finished 18-44 (40.9 percent) from the field. They made four of 11 attempts from three and were 18-24 from the charity stripe. CSC's 24 free throws are the third most they've attempted all season.
