BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- March 12, 2020 -- NCAA staff announced on Thursday morning that its 2020 Division II indoor track and field meet will proceed without spectators. No immediate family or friends will be permitted in the venue at the Birmingham Crossplex.

The decision is in response to the recent COVID-19 virus outbreak. The announcement added, "health and well-being of our student-athletes is our number one priority."
