Gonser, Jennings, Trembly Lead 30 All-Academic Honorees

CHADRON, Neb. – Chadron State earned three selections to the RMAC Men's Outdoor Track All-Academic First Team while a combined 27 other student-athletes qualified for the men's and women's All-Academic Honor Roll lists.

Redshirt senior thrower Parker Gonser, senior thrower Christopher Jennings and redshirt senior hurdler Creighton Trembly each received All-Academic First Team selections, with Gonser and Jennings repeating their accolades from the 2024-25 indoor track season. It is the first-ever outdoor first team selections for all three athletes.

Chadron State's three selections on the 18-member first-team are tied with Colorado Mesa for the second-most in the RMAC, behind only the five of Colorado School of Mines. Eight of the RMAC's 15 institutions were represented on the men's team, with CSC one of only five that garnered multiple picks.

Beyond the three first-team selections, 10 other men's track student-athletes made the honor roll – Adam Beard, Wyatt Bly, Chayton Bynes, Caleb Christensen, Quincy Efeturi, Nicquaine Henry, Esosa Iyengunmwena, Hunter Lund, Miles Mitchell and Malachi Swallow

Additionally, 17 Eagles earned women's outdoor track honor roll selections – Sydney Alles, Megan Baloun, Allison Beard, Katelyn Beshara, Madison Clause, Morgan Ekwall, Ivy Hise, Kailey Klein, Shantae Morgan, Eva Nitschke, Lydia Peters, Samantha Rodewald, Zelma Rudd, Ashlyn Tapio, Devyn Thornton, Alissa Wieman and Cassandra Wulff. The 17 honor roll selections are the fourth-most among RMAC institutions on the women's side.

Parker Gonser earns a first-team nod after a stellar academic career which has seen the Windsor, Colorado native graduate with a degree in sport management with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Gonser is pursuing his MBA and has a 3.67 GPA in that program. In competition, Gonser had three top 10 placings at the RMAC Tournament, finishing fourth in the hammer throw (and winning Second Team All-RMAC honors), eighth in the shot put and 10th in the discus.

Christopher Jennings, an O'Neill, Nebraska native, has a 3.87 GPA as a biology major. Like Gonser, Jennings also earned first-team all-academic honors during the indoor season, when he was also an NCAA national qualifier in the weight throw. In the outdoor season, Jennings qualified for the RMAC championships in three events, including a ninth-place finish in the hammer throw, and now earns his third first-team all-academic selection after winning indoor honors in 2023-24 and 2024-25.

Creighton Trembly, one of two First Team All-RMAC selections for the CSC men in 2024-25, now adds a First Team All-Academic honor during his decorated final collegiate season. Trembly graduated with a 3.79 GPA as a business administration major and has compiled a 3.90 GPA so far while getting his master's degree in history. Trembly finished second in the 110-meter hurdles at the 2025 RMAC Championships and finally breaks through with a first-team academic selection after four previous honor rolls.

The First Team Academic All-RMAC teams are voted on by the league's athletic communications directors. Each institution nominates student-athletes who academically maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, have completed two consecutive semesters at their current institution, and have used a season of competition, for recognition on the First Team Academic All-RMAC in each sport. The league's athletic communications directors for that sport vote to compose the First Team Academic All-RMAC and select the Academic Player of the Year. They are not permitted to vote for their own student-athletes.

The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes in each conference-sponsored sport who meet requirements for the first team and have academically maintained at least a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average.

UCCS's Donovan Mini was named the Men's Outdoor Track Academic Player of the Year. CSU Pueblo's Katherine Higgins was named the Women's Outdoor Track Academic Player of the Year.
