More updates to CSC athletic schedules

CHADRON, Neb. -- February 9, 2021 -- In addition to the wrestling cancellation announced Monday, Chadron State College athletics made three other changes to its schedules on Tuesday.

First, the Don Holst Open track and field meet will no longer be held in Chadron. The CSC teams will instead head north to compete with South Dakota Mines and Black Hills State in Spearfish.

Next, the Chicoine Center will close during the women's and men's basketball games against the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. No spectators will be admitted, in accordance with Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference policy. The doubleheader remains scheduled for 5:30 p.m., pending Covid testing, and it will be aired live on 97.5 FM Double Q Country and livestreamed via ChadronState.tv.

Finally, a home volleyball match against Colorado Mesa University has tentatively been added for 1 p.m. on Sunday, February 21. This is a rescheduling of the February 6 RMAC match which was postponed.

The CSC volleyball team expects to remain on schedule for a doubleheader in Spearfish at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday.
