ST. LOUIS – March 12, 2022 – Chadron State College men's wrestler Ethan Leake competed at the NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships on Friday, completing the season for the program in St. Louis.
 
Leake competed first against No. 4 Zeth Brower of Lander University, the fourth-seeded wrestler in the field for the 141-pound weight class. Brower scored a takedown in the first period and a reversal in the second, before Leake recorded a takedown in the third against his opponent, who was unscored upon in the past month. Ultimately the match went to Brower by a score of 5-2.
 
Leake's competition ended with a loss by fall in the consolation bracket.
 
Nebraska-Kearney held a lead of 15.5 points in the team standings on Friday, leading second-place Central Oklahoma with 67.5 points.
