Eagles improve during round two

GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- April 1, 2023 -- After shooting 326 yesterday, the Chadron State golf team improved during round two and shot 313 (+25), finishing 22nd out of 23 teams.
 
Alpine Hickstein led the Eagles, finishing tied 61st. Kenzey Kanno and Allison Acosta were tied 87th while Brooke Karmer was tied 94th and Jordan Grasis was tied 99th.
 
Hickstein, a senior from Chadron, shot a 75 (+3), after shooting an 81 yesterday.
 
Acosta and Kanno both shot an 82 yesterday, before shooting a 79 today. The duo finished shooting 161 (+17), on the weekend.
 
Kramer, who shot an 83 during round one, shot an 80 during round two. She was the fourth and final golfer for CSC with a score that added to the team score.
 
Grasis, who shot an 81 on Friday, shot 84 on Saturday, finishing with a 165 (+21).
 
Competing as an individual, Kinsey Smith, improved her score from round one by eight strokes. She finished the tournament shooting a 168 (+24).
 
The Eagle golf team has a break in action before the RMAC Championships on April 23-25, 2023, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
