SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Chadron State College women's wrestling team defeated the University of Sioux Falls on Friday afternoon, defeating the Cougars 30-15 to improve to 8-5 overall.
The Eagles will compete at the Midland Warrior Open in Fremont, Nebraska tomorrow before having regionals in Denton, Texas on Sunday, February 25.
Chadron State earned 12 points by earing forfeits at 123 pounds and 170 pounds. The Cougars were victorious at 191 pounds by way of forfeit.

Britley Lopez, a sophomore from Borger, Texas, was trailing 5-2 at 101 pounds before using a two-point takedown to earn a fall in 5:01 to being the match.
Mana Chanthasone, a freshman from Liberal, Kansas, bumped a weight class to 109 pounds where she earned a 10-0 tech fall in 2:40 to extend the Eagles lead to 9-0.
Sioux Falls struck first at 116 pounds with a 10-0 tech fall.
After the forfeit at 123 pounds, the Cougars won the following match at 130, with another tech fall to make the score 14-8.
The Eagles won the final four matches before forfeiting at 191 pounds. At 136,
Annika Lee, a freshman from Olympia, Washington, was victorious with a 11-3 decision.
Karstin Hollen, a junior from Mesa, Arizona, won with a high scoring decision, 16-8, at 143 pounds.

Emma Meadows, a freshman from Roseville, California. Meadows started the match with a four-point slam before having the match tied at four apiece. She scored four consecutive points before earning the pin in 2:47.
