CHADRON, Neb. -- Josh Robinson has been named to the 2023-24 Academic All-America Men's Basketball Second-Team, the College Sports Communicators announced on Wednesday. 

The senior from Paris, Texas has a 4.00 GPA in Interdisciplinary Studies. 

Coincidentally, Robinson is the second men's basketball player to be named an Academic All American, joining another Josh Robinson.

The latter finished his career as CSC Men's Basketball all time leading scorer while playing forward for the Eagles from 1988-92. 

The current was a 2023-2024 Second Team All-RMAC Selection. Robinson finished the year averaging 15.6 points and 8.5 rebounds per game, ranking him second and first respectively at CSC. His rebound mark ranked first in the RMAC and he finished 12th in scoring.

Robinson recorded 10 double-doubles this season, including a 30-point 10 rebound performances against Colorado Mesa in the RMAC Tournament. He finished the year ranked fourth in the conference in field goal percentage, shooting .552 percent from the field.

The two Josh Robinsons of Chadron State College basketball fame met on Oct 13, 2023. Josh Robinson (left) of Loveland, Colo., stopped at his alma mater while en route to visit his daughter in Rapid City, and met Josh Robinson, the current CSC basketball standout from Paris, Texas.  Josh on the left played for the Eagles 1988-92 and is the men's all-time leading scorer with 2,041 points. He also has the school records for most points in a game (51), most field goals (762) and most free throws (515). In addition, he was an NAIA All-American and an Academic All-American. Josh on the right was named an Academic All-American in April 2024.
