Four golfers named WGCA All-American Scholars

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. -- Eagle golfers Kinsey Smith, Brooke Kramer, Kenzey Kanno and Aubree Heinsma have all been named Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars, the organization announced on Monday.

A total of 1,497 women's collegiate golfers from 412 programs were recognized with this prestigious honor.

Kramer, a graduate student from Aurora, Colorado, and Smith, a grad student from Windsor, Colorado, both hold perfect 4.0 GPA's and were members of the RMAC All-Academic First Team.

Kanno, a senior from Mitchell, Nebraska and Heinsma, a sophomore from Windsor, both earn the distinction of a WGCA All-American Scholar after being named to the RMAC Academic Honor Roll earlier this spring.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics and continue to demonstrate the high-level academic achievements of our players. To be selected, a student-athlete must:
  • Have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher.
  • Be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season.
  • Have played in 50% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team's conference championship.
