MANHEIM, Pa. – Chadron State women's wrestling was well represented with the recent announcement of the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA)'s Women's Scholar All-American awards, as eight Eagles earned recognition.
The CSC student-athletes honored were
Sicily Frates,
Maddox Gehlhausen,
Karstin Hollen,
Britley Lopez,
Regan Rosseter,
Ella Shevlin,
Brianna Vollendroff and
Shania Wear.
Hollen and Wear headline that list, as the duo were also named repeat First Team Academic All-RMAC back on March 13. Wear also earned her second straight RMAC Summit Award, given to the student-athlete with the top GPA competing at the league championships.
Hollen has earned her program-record fourth NWCA Scholar All-American award with her 2025 honor, while Wear and
Britley Lopez each received their second straight selections. The Eagles' eight selections match CSC's tally from each of the last two seasons.
Student-athletes are eligible for the honor by competing in a minimum of 15 official matches during the 2024-25 season and carrying a GPA of 3.50 or higher. The GPA eligibility requirements are lowered to 3.25 for student-athletes who qualify for nationals and 3.00 for student-athletes who place top-eight at nationals.
