CHADRON, Neb. – Chadron State women's golf will have its final regular-season tune-up before the RMAC Championships when they compete in the small-field Maverick Challenge, hosted by Colorado Mesa University at Redlands Mesa GC in Grand Junction, Colorado on Saturday and Sunday.

Rankings Report
Heading into this weekend's competition, the Eagles are ranked No. 116 in the country and No. 36 in the region. They will be the third-highest ranked among four competing teams at the Maverick Challenge.

The Eagles have a stroke play record of 25-37-1, meaning that across all competitions this season, they have finished ahead of 25 teams, finished behind 37 and tied with one.

Chadron State's top-ranked individual golfer is Macy Kleve, who is rated No. 408 in the country and No. 129 in the region. Kleve has a win (at the Yellowjacket Fall Invitational from October) and an additional top-three (at the EverSpring Inn & Suites Mustang Invite in September).

In the Polls
Chadron State was picked to finish seventh in the RMAC based on a fall preseason vote of the league's head coaches.

CSU Pueblo topped the preseason poll with eight of 10 first-place votes. Colorado Christian and Westminster had one first-place vote each, with CCU snagging five second-place votes to finish second over the Griffins.

Colorado Mesa placed fourth in the poll, followed by MSU Denver and Fort Lewis ahead of CSC. Behind the Eagles, South Dakota Mines, Black Hills State and Adams State rounded out the projected finishing order.
