COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Macy Kleve earned a spot on the Women's Golf Preseason All-RMAC Team while the Eagles ranked sixth out of 10 programs in the RMAC Preseason Coaches Poll, both released by the league office on Tuesday. 

The Eagles' sixth-place preseason projection matches the RMAC tournament, when Chadron State tied for sixth place. Chadron State received one third-place vote from the league's head coaches, who rank the other nine programs without voting for their own team. The Eagles were one of only five schools to receive a top-three vote. 

CSU Pueblo led a hotly-contested poll, receiving four first-place votes and five second-place votes to finish first with 76 points. Westminster was just behind, also receiving four first-place votes, but tallying three seconds and two thirds to finish with 74 points.

Colorado Christian and Colorado Mesa finished third and fourth on 63 and 60 points, respectively, each getting one first-place vote. MSU Denver finished fifth with 41 points, ahead of CSC's 37 points in sixth. 

Rounding out the poll were South Dakota Mines and Fort Lewis tied for seventh, followed by Black Hills State and Adams State.

Kleve, now a sophomore from Windsor, Colorado, is part of an exclusive eight-player club on the Preseason All-RMAC team. The RMAC's Preseason teams are determined by placing returning athletes according to their national rankings from the 2025-26 season. 

Kleve earned Second-Team All-RMAC honors last year as part of a strong true freshman campaign. Kleve won the Yellowjacket Fall Invitational at Lake Hills Golf Course in Billings, Montana and also tallied two other top-3s and four top-10 finishes among her nine tournament starts in 2025-26.

During her Montana win, Kleve's two-day score of 6-over-par 150 and sparkling second round of 1-over 73 both ranked among the best in program history. Kleve defeated a field of 61 golfers to take medalist honors.

Kleve leads a group of six returners to the CSC women's golf roster for 2026-27, as her fellow sophomores Lauren Knapp and Taegan Bach join juniors Klara Kleinig, Maggie Teague and Brooklyn Tychsen.

Chadron State is scheduled to play four tournaments during the fall golf season, beginning with the Travis Roy Memorial Invite from Sunday, September 13 through Tuesday, September 15. That tournament is hosted by South Dakota Mines and held in Sheridan, Wyoming.

The Eagles will also compete in Marshall, Minnesota (September 26-27) and will return to the Yellowjacket Fall Invite (October 4-6) before concluding the fall in Rapid City for the Hardrocker Fall Invite (October 12-13).
