CHADRON, Neb. – Chadron State Athletics has announced the promotion of Kelly McLendon to Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Events and Senior Woman Administrator.

"Kelly has a deep care for our student-athletes and works tirelessly to ensure that our events provide an outstanding experience for both our student-athletes and the fans who support them," Director of Athletics Mannie Reinsch said. "I'm excited to see her continue to grow and thrive in this new role."

McLendon joined the department in May 2025 and coordinates game-day operations for Chadron State's athletic events. She also hires, trains and schedules event staff and student workers for Chadron State's home athletic events, in addition to serving as the point of contact for internal and external uses of Chadron State's athletic facilities.

With her new promotion, McLendon will take on a larger role with Chadron State's administrative team and will now serve as the sport supervisor for Chadron State's spirit program.

"I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue working alongside the administration, coaches, and, most importantly, the student-athletes at Chadron State," McLendon said. "This is truly a special place filled with hardworking, passionate, and dedicated individuals. I am honored to continue serving as an Eagle and am excited for the future of Chadron State Athletics."

The promotion will also see McLendon become Chadron State's Senior Woman Administrator, an NCAA professional designation given to the highest-ranking female staff member in an intercollegiate athletics department. 

"Since the day Kelly started at Chadron State, she has made a tremendous impact on our athletic department," Reinsch said. "I know she will continue to make a significant impact on Eagle Athletics and our entire Chadron State community."
