CHADRON, Neb. – Chadron State Athletics and longtime corporate partner Monument Health Orthopedics and Sports Medicine are excited to announce an expanded partnership that will see both organizations continuing to support CSC's 450-plus student-athletes and 15 sport programs.
Monument Health will continue to be the official sports medicine provider for the Chadron State Eagles and served as the presenting game sponsor for the football team's September 3 home opener, a victory against the University of Nebraska-Kearney.
"I'd like to thank Monument Health for their continued belief in and partnership with Chadron State Athletics," Director of Athletics
Mannie Reinsch said. "This renewed partnership provides our student-athletes with an even greater access to resources and the ability to see some of the region's best physicians on a weekly basis."
Monument Health now provides three full-time staff members to Chadron State Athletics to assist with athletic training and one full-time staff member to assist with CSC's strength and conditioning. With support from Monument Health, these staff members are essential to the care of CSC student-athletes, including nutrition, workout plans, sports science and injury prevention, treatment and recovery.
Beyond Monument Health's support on campus, Monument Health's state-of-the-art Rapid City facility is the site of official team physicals for Chadron State programs and the top option for surgery, imaging and other treatment for Eagle student-athletes.
"This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to the health and performance of student-athletes at Chadron State," said Jim Rix, Monument Health Manager of Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine. "Providing athletic training and strength and conditioning support allows us to be part of these athletes' success both on and off the field, and we are proud to expand that support even further."
In addition, the expanded partnership will see increased signage, sponsorship and financial commitments from Monument Health around Elliott Field at Don Beebe Stadium and the Chicoine Center.
"We are incredibly grateful for Monument Health's investment in our student-athletes and Chadron State College," Reinsch said. "We look forward to continuing to grow this partnership and the impact it has on Eagle Athletics and our student-athletes."
